Spatial Strategies Branch Directorate

Spatial Strategies Department Responsibilities:

1. Collaborating with relevant institutions and organizations, prepare, commission, and prepare for approval spatial strategy plans that guide settlement, construction, and land use at all scales, ensuring that implementation adheres to these strategies.

2. Conduct studies on national and regional spatial development strategies in line with development policies, and undertake all types of research and studies as necessary.

3. Develop goals and strategies for urban and spatial development, prepare action plans accordingly, conduct necessary legislative work, implement, and monitor them.

4. Take necessary measures to ensure alignment of sectoral plans, physical plans of all types and scales, and environmental arrangement plans with the objectives and decisions of spatial strategy plans.

5. Establish principles and procedures for the spatial strategy planning process, ensure its improvement and development, and outline management and implementation models to facilitate plan execution.

6. Implement, coordinate, and monitor the "Integrated Urban Development Strategy and Action Plan (2010-2023) - KENTGES," adopted by the High Planning Council on October 25, 2010, published in the Official Gazette numbered 27749 on November 4, 2010. Develop necessary models for its implementation, enhance cooperation with responsible institutions and local governments, develop projects for the implementation of actions, and support developed projects.

7. Determine the principles and procedures for determining the boundaries of municipal areas and villages' settled areas, and prepare municipal area boundaries for approval. (With the General Directorate's Decision dated 18.10.2012 and numbered 16348)

8. Determine the principles and procedures for village design guides related to rural area planning, and issue guidelines for determining planning and construction conditions. (With the General Directorate's Decision dated 18.10.2012 and numbered 16348)

9. Perform similar tasks assigned by the Department Head.
