Directorate of Geological Surveys and Studies
Responsibilities:
1. To establish principles and principles regarding the preparation and approval of risk assessment and mitigation plans, and to monitor their implementation.
2. To collaborate with stakeholder institutions and organizations on risk assessment and mitigation planning.
3. To conduct and prepare geological-geotechnical and micro-zoning studies as the basis for plans, and to prepare them for approval.
4. To conduct and prepare integrated coastal area planning studies and geological-geotechnical studies related to coastal areas, and to prepare them for approval.
5. To establish principles and standards for risk assessment and mitigation plans, as well as for geological-geotechnical and micro-zoning studies, to outline methods and methodologies, to conduct legislative studies, and to ensure the improvement and development of processes.
6. To prepare, implement, and monitor action plans for risk assessment and mitigation plans, as well as for geological-geotechnical and micro-zoning studies.
7. To ensure coordination among ministries, local authorities, professional organizations, and relevant parties in micro-zoning and geological-geotechnical studies and procedures.
8. To organize meetings on topics related to risk assessment and mitigation plans, as well as geological-geotechnical and micro-zoning studies within the scope of the Directorate's activities, to participate in meetings, to monitor international developments, and to propose and execute necessary projects.
9. To perform similar duties assigned by the General Director.
