Real Estate and Expropriation Department
Responsibilities:
a) Conducting all types and scales of studies and expropriation processes for refunctioning and development of publicly registered lands, as well as unregistered lands belonging to private individuals or organizations, under the condition of obtaining their consents, within the scope defined by the Cabinet.
b) Carrying out expropriation processes, including urgent expropriation procedures as required, within the framework of urban transformation practices and urban design projects carried out by the Ministry.
c) Managing all inquiries and issues related to parcelization plans, land and plot arrangements, and expropriation processes, providing clarifications and solutions for both authorities and citizens.
d) Undertaking expropriation tasks related to areas authorized by our Ministry, financial centers designated by the Cabinet, special project areas requiring special constructions, as well as practices conducted by the Housing Development Administration under Law No. 2985 on Mass Housing and Law No. 775 on Shanty Towns, preparing them for approval.
e) Conducting studies related to the determination of project areas in accordance with the law on the evaluation of lands taken out of forest boundaries under Law No. 6292 supporting the development of forest villagers and sales of agricultural lands owned by the Treasury.
f) Performing similar duties assigned by the Department Head.
