Responsibilities:

1. Conducting necessary studies and research by examining national and international legislation related to spatial planning.

2. Establishing principles and procedures for ensuring healthy, safe, and orderly urbanization through spatial planning.

3. Drafting and developing legislation related to spatial planning and settlement at national, regional, provincial, and municipal levels.

4. Developing planning legislation to ensure compatibility between planning regulations in specially designated areas under special laws and other zoning regulations and Law No. 3194 on Urban Planning, and providing opinions.

5. Setting forth basic principles, strategies, and standards for land use and urban planning in cities and rural areas and ensuring their implementation.

6. Managing the official website of our General Directorate.

7. Performing similar tasks assigned by the Department Head.
