 Definition of Adjacent Areas

Adjacent Areas are defined in Land Development Law 3194 as the areas which are outside the borders of municipalities but which were given under the control and responsibility of the municipalities.
 
Adjacent area proposals are prepared by municipalities within the scope of the 45th Article of the Land Development Law 3194 and are sent to the Ministry with the decisions of the City Councils and Provincial Administration Boards. The proposals made by the municipalities are investigated on site, finalized and processed into numeric archive according to Adjacent Area Proposal Guide on the website of the Ministry.
 
Besides, the coordinates are specified in the relevant article of the law and our Notice dated July 31 2013 and numbered 2013/22.
 
Adjacent area proposals are approved by the ministry in order to ensure local administrations to provide the services regarding planning and housing regularly and guidance is given to local administrations for their preparation of the proposals.
Submitted proposals between 2011 and 2015 were evaluated and 70 Adjacent Area were approved.
